1. Where do the animals come from at WDFR? Our dogs and cats are usually pulled from less than pleasant situations. Sometimes they have been lingering at a rural shelter, have been picked up as a stray, or have been surrendered by their family.
2. How does WDFR afford the care for the animals? We are solely funded by donations! We rely on the community to help us save as many pets as possible. For this reason, we are fairly small and unable to take pets from everyone that requests. 
3. Who runs WDFR? A small group of women (all volunteers) in Ohio and Florida. We may be small, but we are mighty! 
4. Are there other ways to help besides fostering & adopting? Absolutely! We often need help with transporting animals to and from their vet appointments or picking animals up from their origin to get into foster care. We also need help getting our mission to as many people as possible. Be sure to like and share our content on social media! 
5. What's with the name? Our founder has a special place in her heart for white boxers. You may have noticed her crew on the Home Page. But, we can assure you, we love dogs of all shapes, sizes, colors, and types.
